Spring Loaded Electromagnetic 12v Pull Type Solenoid
This listing is for a neat little pull-type spring loaded 12v solenoid. A demonstration video of this device can be found above, so make sure to check it out. I'm also including a protection diode. When the magnetic field on the solenoid shaft module collapses (When you disengage the power), a voltage spike occurs, and it can hard your circuit. This is where the protection diode comes into place. This diode shunt will act to absorb this spike, and protect your circuitry. This solenoid requires 12v @ roughly 700mA to operate at nominal capacity. If you are planning on keeping this device on for more than a few seconds at a time, it is suggested that you use a FET to drive this little guy. Pulse the gate of the FET at a duty-cycle of 10%-30% Max. If you are just going to keeping it on for periods of 10 seconds or less, you can use a relay driver (This is what I typically do). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Watch the video!!!
