The IR-XX02 38kHz Laser Tag Repeater Module - 38kHz Modulated With Lots Of Options!
This wonderful little module has so many possibilities! You can use it to mess with TVs with remotes rated for 38kHz IR pulses, you can use it as a laser tag turret, or you can use it to create your own laser tag props! Turn anything into a laser tag prop! As long as your laser tag guns are rated for 38kHz, and not 56kHz, this unit will work for you! It can also be modified to work with 56kHz laser tag guns! Just send us a message and inquire about this!
This unit was designed with both a battery option, and a wall adapter power option. It requires 8-12VDC to operate. The above video acts as a full user manual. You can purchase an appropriate wall adapter or 9v battery connector separately. Just send us an inquiry, and we will custom invoice you. There are three modes of operation:
1) Turret Mode (Constant Repeater)
2) Single Shot Mode
3) Shoot & Repeat Mode (10x IR gun signal repeats)
All modes of operation can be changed on the fly by adding/removing on board jumpers that are provided. How you ask? Simply watch the video above for a full demonstration!
How do I use it?
Well, first of all watch the above video. To break it down for you, follow these instructions:
1) Power the unit up in your desired mode of operation
2) Shoot the IR receiver from a meter or so away. This will program the unit with your specific laser tag gun signal
3) Once the IR signal is programmed, you're off to the races. It is that simple! This unit will react according to which mode of operation you are in!
What comes with this set?
1x fully assembled and tested IR-XX02 IR repeater module. If you wish to purchase an AC adapter, you can simply inquire for a custom quote. we sell 9v 1A wall adapters for an additional $7, and a battery connector which can be soldered to the board for you for an additional $2. Just ask!
What if this unit doesn't work with my Laser Tag guns?
It should work and learn your gun signals with no issue as long as your laser tag guns are rated for 38kHz, and not 56kHz. If your laser tag guns are rated for 56kHz, simply send us a question. We can modify this unit to work with 56kHz laser tag guns.
