High Quality Tilt Switch Module with Cable
can be interfaced with arduino
This listing is for a high quality tilt switch module. In the video above, you will see that you can use this module as both a tilt switch, and to a lesser extent, a vibration sensor. The tilt switch is mounted on a custom PCB, and has two removable cables that are included. This tilt switch is merely a switch. When tilted in one direction, the internal ball that rolls around with in the switch will touch both leads internally, which shorts them. When the switch is tilted in the opposite direction, the internal ball will not touch the two internal leads, which will cause the output to remain open. As you can see in the above video, I apply 5v to one lead (Doesn't matter which, as there is no polarization) and a 470 ohm resistor connected an LED to the other. The secondary side of the LED is grounded. When the tilt switch leads connect internally when tilted in the right direction, 5v flows through the tilt switch, the resistor, and the LED through to ground, causing a complete circuit (illumination). Cool, eh? If after reading this, and after watching the video, if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
