DIY RFID Kit - NO PC Required
This listing is for a stand-alone (NO PC REQUIRED FOR OPERATION) RFID decoder board with 4x outputs. It comes with the antenna, the decoder board, the extension board, and 4x unique 125kHz RFID cards. It comes with everything you need to work this device. All that is required of you is a power supply of 7-12v @ 100mA or higher. It is extremely easy to program. Just watch the video!!! I will be making more videos and adding it to this listing. The antenna is compatible with all 125kHz RFID cards, so if you have some, you can use your own.
How it works:There are four on board buttons labelled Key1 to Key4. Let's just refer to them as buttons 1-4. Upon power on, you can press the sequence: 1233214 quickly in order to set the device into programming mode. One you press this sequence, you are in programming mod. The MODE LED will turn on, and stay on until you're back in scanning mode. When in programming mode, you can hold down any of the buttons, and hold a 125kHz card in front of the antenna. If for instance, I hold down KEY1, and while doing so, I hold my first card in front of the antenna. If the device detects said card, the FUNCTION LED will flicker, and the on-board piezo buzzer will indicate that that card has been programmed into the EEPROM. From now on, when in normal operation, that card will activate output#1 for 0.5 seconds each time the card is placed at the antenna. The on-board EEPROM (Memory) will keep this saved into the device even after power off. Once you've programmed in your four cards, press KEY2 and KEY4 at the same time, and the piezo will beep, and the MODE LED will turn off. You are now in normal operating mode. If you then place any of those cards in front of the reader antenna, the corresponding output will go high for 0.5 seconds, then go low again. Each output has a plug connector with a signal wire and a ground wire. The kit comes with four plug connectors that plug right into the board.
Features:
1) Easy to use!
2) On board EEPROM saves your cards into memory so that you don't have to reprogram after each power off.
3) No PC interface required. This device is stand-alone and is ready to go! All you need to do is connect the antenna plug to the decoder board!
4) Works with any 125kHz compatible RFID cards or tags!
5) 7-digit programming entry code required to program cards into memory! This is for security purposes!
Requirements:
1) Watch the video for instructions!
2) A 7-12v power supply with a current rating of 100mA or higher. On-board circuitry is protected by a 7805 5v regulator IC. There is an on-board 5mm DC female power jack for power. If you don't have a transformer that has a male 5mm jack, you can solder your power connections to the bottom of that board. If you need help with this, just ask!
3) At least one 125kHz compatible RFID tag or card (4x are included).
4) An imagination!
Applications:
1) Security system set-ups
2) Compatible with arduino/PIC/Basic Stamp/ARM circuits (5v TTL compatible output)
3) Outputs can be interfaced with a transistor relay driver to control AC devices
4) Whatever your brain has in store! There are no limitations!
Listing Includes:
1x RFID extension board
1x 125kHz RFID antenna
1x 125kHz RFID decoder board (Mounted to extension board)
4x Output plug connectors
4x 125kHz compatible white RFID cards
NOTE: No hard copy of instructions will be included. The above video will serve as your instruction manual. More documentation and information will be listed on this listing as I accumulate it. Set up time is only about a minute!
If you have any questions, or if you need anything specific, please don't hesitate to ask! We also have another model in stock that is similar to this model, but it has relays/relay drivers on it, and it has no EEPROM.
